In this diary I show and explain the research to finding the physical destination of my digital data.
This quest leads not only to the physical infrastructure of cables, but also the places within and outside the Netherlands where this personal content is stored. During this search questions arise about control and transparency of today’s life.
The ‘Data Diary’ (2014) consists of diary entries that I wrote during the process, and pictures that make the journey and feeling visible. Added to that are the side data lists with emails, places and phone calls which you can trace back to me, which were important moments within the quest.
